Baidu Google map WiFi positioning Principle

If you have used an iPad or a smartphone, you will find that WiFi positioning is very accurate, just like GPS.

Recently, I checked the android location and found it interesting.

First, I used my location function on ditu.google.cn to find my location. Google showed that your location could not be determined. This means that I cannot be located through WiFi alone. Note: I am using a new China Telecom WiFi wireless router,

Then I turned off the mobile phone WiFi and installed the Google map for Android on my mobile phone. I went to the window to open the mobile phone's GPS. After a while, the mobile phone could locate me accurately, I re-opened ditu.google.cn and still cannot locate it.

At last, I turned on the WiFi and GPS of my mobile phone, and waited for a moment to try ditu.google.cn. Ha, I can locate the problem. The result is as follows.

Google will search for the MAC address of the Wi-Fi route, and then obtain the physical address of the WiFi router device by connecting to the GPS of the WiFi mobile phone, bind the MAC address of the WiFi router to the physical address

Other devices that access the Internet through WiFi are very accurate.

Disadvantage: if I change the router to another location, the location will be wrong.

The advantage is extremely fast. It is very accurate in public places, such as teahouses and coffee shops.
