In the design of the website, the pure HTML Web page is often called "static page", and the early websites are usually made by static Web pages. Static web pages are usually in the form of: www.example.com/eg/eg.htm, which is the suffix of. htm,. html,. shtml,. xml, and so on. In HTML-formatted Web pages, you can also see dynamic effects, such as animated, FLASH, scrolling letters, and so on in GIF format, and these "dynamic effects" are visually different concepts from the dynamic pages that will be described below.
The characteristics of static Web pages are briefly summarized as follows:
(1) Static Web page each page has a fixed URL, and the URL of the Web page to. htm,. html,. shtml and other common forms of suffix, and does not contain "?";
(2) Web page content once published to the Web server, regardless of whether there is a user access, the content of each static page is stored on the Web server, that is, static pages are actually stored on the server files, each page is an independent document;
(3) The content of static Web page is relatively stable, so it is easy to be searched by search engine;
(4) Static Web pages do not have the support of the database, in the Web site production and maintenance of a large amount of work, so when the amount of information on the site completely rely on static Web page production method is more difficult;
(5) The interactive intersection of static Web pages has a great limitation in function.
