Bi_dba_ installation (4): Installing the DAC and configuring the client

1. Preparation

The informatic Client must be installed before installing the DAC;dac11g client must be installed on a single machine with the Informatica client;Install Java version 1.6 and above on dac11g server;dac11g server must be installed on a single machine with Informatica server;when the installation is complete, the DAC directory contains the control files for the dac11g Server and the dac11g client;

2. Installing the DAC server (server)

Install Informatica First

Then upload the DAC inside the Informatica to the server.

Modify Permissions

1. Modify the config.sh java_home, Dac_home;

../dac_env.shjava_home=/usr/java/1.6.0_32Export Java_home Dac_home=/u01/bi/dacExport Dac_home

2. Modify the path, infa_domains_file in the dac_env.sh file as follows:

informatica_server_location=/u01/bi/informatica/9.1.0Domains_infa_file_location=/u01/bi/informatica/9.1.0/domains.infa

3. Then configure the client
