Problem Description:
CentOS Linux cloned in VMware, Boot execution command: ifconfig ... You do not see the eth0 NIC. Then restart the NIC and report the following error:
Bringing up interface Eth0:device eth0 does no seem to be present,delaying initialization. [FAILED]
Workaround:
First, open the/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules content as shown in the following face:
# vi/etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules# This file is automatically generated by the/lib/udev/write_net_rules# p Rogram, run by the Persistent-net-generator.rules rules file.## you can modify it, as long as you keep each rule on a sing le# line, and change only the value of the name= key.# PCI device 0x1022:0x2000 (pcnet32) subsystem== "NET", action== "add", drivers== "? *", attr{address}== "00:0c:29:8f:89:97", attr{type}== "1", kernel== "eth*", Name= "eth0" # PCI device 0x1022:0 x2000 (pcnet32) subsystem== "NET", action== "Add", drivers== "? *", attr{address}== "00:0c:29:50:bd:17", attr{type}== "1", kernel== "eth*", name= "eth1"
Record the MAC address of the ETH1 network card 00:0c:29:50:bd:17
Next, open the/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 NIC configuration file
# Vi/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 will device= "eth0" to device= "eth1" , hwaddr= "00:0c:29:8f : 89:97 "Change to MAC address above hwaddr=" 00:0c:29:50:bd:17 "
Finally, restart the network
#/etc/init.d/network Restart
It's normal.
