Centos5 the following mail command to send mail using the SendMail service

Use MAILX do not start sendmail using other SMTP email, refer to

Uninstalling SendMail or MAILX is not recommended.

There are two types of mail alerts:

1, Zabbix service is simply to send alarm mail to the designated mailbox, send alarm mail This mailbox account is Zabbix service side of the local mailbox account (such as: [email protected]), can only send, can not receive external mail.

2. Use an email account that can send and receive mail on the Internet (for example: [email protected]), by setting it in the Zabbix server, so that it sends alarm messages to the designated mailbox.

CentOS 5.x is installed by default SendMail

CentOS 6.x is installed by default Postfix

SendMail and postfix only need to install one and turn on the service.

Install the Mail sending tool MAILX
