Centos5 ntop Installation

Yum-y install libpcap-devel gcc gd. x86_64 gd-devel.x86_64 gdbm-devel glib-devel GeoIP-devel.x86_64 geoip. x86_64 Cairo-devel pango-devel subservion

 

Reminder: This is tested on the local machine and requires an installation package. If the uninstalled package is reported when autogen. Sh is executed below, follow the prompts to install the installation package.

2. Install rrdtool

Tar-xvzf rrdtool-1.4.5.tar.gz

Mkdir-P/opt/rrdtool

CD rrdtool-1.4.5

./Configure -- prefix =/opt/rrdtool

Make & make install

 

3. Install ntop

Tar-xvzf ntop-4.0.1.tar.gz

CD ntop-4.0.1

./Autogen. Sh -- prefix =/opt/ntop -- With-RRD-home =/opt/rrdtool

Make & make install

 

4. Create an RRD folder

Mkdir/opt/ntop/var/ntop/RRD

 

5. grant permissions to the ntop Folder:

Chmod-r 777/opt/ntop

 

6. Start the ntop service:

CD/opt/ntop &./ntop/bin/ntop-d

 

7. http: // 192.168.0.108: 3000/
