A little trick is to enter a character in Word and then press and hold Alt+x to convert the character to Unicode display.

As far as the Unicode standard is concerned, its coded character set has three encoding schemes: UTF-32, UTF-16, UTF-8. UTF-32 uses a 32-bit code unit to represent a Unicode code point, UTF-16 encodes a Unicode code point using a sequence of one or two 16-bit units of code, UTF-8 encodes a Unicode code point using a sequence of 1 to 4 bytes.
