Collecting JVM memory Dump files

The phenomenon of suspended animation in Java services (such as the Web page cannot open, open a blank page, the speed of access to a dramatic decline), you need to engineer in the first time dump JVM memory data, to analyze the reason. So how do I get the JVM memory dump file?

Execute under the CMD console or Linux terminal in Windows:

Jmap-dump:format=b,file=yymmddhhmm.dump PID

(where YYmmddhhmm a custom filename; the PID can be found using jconsole into the Java Monitoring and Management console ).

Note: The use of the Jmap command may cause the site to suspend external services, please reduce the generation of dump files, when encountering the website service exception, it is necessary to generate the dump file for analysis at the first time.
