Most of ADSL hardware faults are caused by connection looseness, network cable disconnection, Hub damage, and computer system faults. Abnormal voltage, high temperature, and lightning strikes may also cause faults.
The reason for the abnormal use of ADSL is that the line distance is too long, the line quality is poor, and the connection is unreasonable. The performance is frequent loss of synchronization, difficult synchronization, or slow synchronization speed.
Check Method:
1. Check whether the power indicator is normal
The power indicator light is located on the far left of the three indicator lights of the user Modem. If the power indicator light is not on, the user can solve the power problem on his own.
2. Whether the data indicator is normal
The data indicator lights are located at the two on the right of the user Modem and continue to be properly lit. This indicates that the line from the user end to the DSLAM terminal is not faulty. If the indicator light is not on, the line is faulty, it must be handled by the Telecommunications Department on site.
3. Does the user change the IP address?
Each user's PC has its fixed IP address. If the user changes its IP address, the Telecommunications Department can provide the IP address of its PC and change the IP address back.
4. Check whether the user Nic and network cable are normal
After the user's PC network card is connected to the Modem through the network cable, its indicator light will shine. If the indicator light cannot shine normally, it indicates that the user's network card or network cable is faulty.
Based on my experience in using ADSL, if I find that I cannot access the Internet, but I have not made any system changes, we may first call the China Telecom Department for help at 10000, when there is no problem with the line, and the bill is not overdue, you can ask the technical staff to visit the site for maintenance. Generally, the door will be provided within 24 hours, and it is free of charge, if a hardware device is damaged, you can replace the device. After the lines and hardware equipment are excluded, the final fault may be the computer system. When the system fails to access the Internet after checking that everything is normal, the system should be reinstalled!
