Introduction

Running the ClearQuest Connector Installation Configuration Wizard is just the beginning of integrating ibm®rational®quality Manager with Ibm®rational clearquest®. After you run the Setup Configuration Wizard, you need to schedule the Rational Quality Manager workflow and the Rational ClearQuest state transition model so that the state in rational Quality Manager will work with rational The states in the ClearQuest match. Rational Quality Manager has an internal defect tracking system, but some users may continue to use ClearQuest to track defects. Prerequisite conditions

Before continuing with the rest of the operation, make sure you have the Rational ClearQuest installed and set up a scenario and user database. Verify that ClearQuest Connector is installed on your computer and that Rational ClearQuest is already installed on this computer. (You can download ClearQuest Connector from jazz.net). IBM Rational Team concert™ clients must be installed on a computer that can access the rational Quality Manager server over the network. (You can download the Rational team concert client from the Jazz.net Web site).

You can start the Rational Quality Manager server and the ClearQuest Gateway when you view the Installation Configuration Wizard connectors that you mentioned earlier. To complete the integration operation, you can follow the procedure below to make further configuration work in the Rational Quality Manager workflow.

Non-Outgoing synchronization

You can temporarily disallow outgoing synchronization before continuing:

Start the Rational Team concert client and use the client to connect to the rational Quality Manager project area.

If the welcome interface in the Rational team concert opens, you can turn off the page.

On the left side of the Rational team concert client, you can right-click the user ID in the team artifacts and click Administer > Synchronization Rules, as shown in Figure 1. This section opens a view near the bottom of the Rational Team concert client.
