Computer Silent Fault Resolution

Silent computer failure is usually due to the sound card volume is too small, mute, sound card driver damage, speakers and computer contact is bad, speakers damaged or the sound card module damage caused. The

Silent Troubleshooting method for computers is as follows.

Step 1th: First check for the "small horn" on the right side of the taskbar. If there is, the sound card is normal, the cause of the failure may be the system volume is too small, or set mute, or speaker failure. You can continue to check whether there is sound output through headphones, if so, it is the speaker's fault.

Step 2nd: If there is no "small horn" on the right side of the taskbar, then click the Control Panel-sound and Audio Devices command, open the sound and Audio Device Properties dialog box, click the Sounds tab in this dialog box, and then click one of the program events in the program events field, such as a program error ), select a sound type, and then see if the Preview button on the right is black. If black, the sound card is normal, the reason for the failure may be the system volume is too small, or set mute, or speaker failure.

Step 3rd: If the preview button on the Sounds tab is grayed out, click the Control Panel-System Properties-Hardware-Device Manager command to see if there is any yellow in the Device Manager window? The options.

Step 4th: If there is a yellow "?", see if the option is a sound card device option (the audio device option usually has keywords such as "Audio" or "Sound"). If the sound card device option, it indicates that the sound card driver is not installed, reinstall the sound card driver, the silent problem can be resolved.

Step 5th: If there is a yellow "?" option is not a sound device, or no yellow "?" option, then look at the sound, video and game controller options under the yellow "!" The options.

Step 6th: If there is a yellow "!", it may be a sound card driver mismatch or a sound card aging. Then delete the band "!" option, reinstall the sound card driver.

Step 7th: If you do not have a sound card option in the Device Manager window, and your sound card is an integrated sound card, then restart your computer to enter the BIOS program. Then check that the sound card option in the peripheral device options in the BIOS is set to "Disabled" and, if so, change it to "Enable". If this is set to Enable, it may be the motherboard sound circuit is damaged, repair the sound card circuit.

Step 8th: If the sound card is not an integrated sound card, then open the chassis and check to see if the sound card is installed.
