I spent some time at home in the past two days. I picked up Mio that I haven't played with for a long time and searched the internet. I found that many foreign websites and individuals are playing with Mio, and c220 is the lowest level.
Many small programs are provided on the Internet and cannot be run on mio, but the program can be run on a PC through the Pocket PC simulator. There are roughly three errors:
1. Run the following error: "XXX is not a valid Windows CE application ". For example, a guy on www.gpspassion.com wrote a calculator (gpscalc) for Mio c220. It was strange that I could not run that program on my mio.
2. There is another type of error: "XXX cannot be found (or one of its components ). Make sure that the path and file name are correct and all required libraries are available ".
3. Some programs run in Mio without any response (no error is reported and not displayed.
This is the case for many programs from the Internet. At the same time, it is found that the Mio ce cannot install the program in. Cab mode (that is, you cannot double-click to run the. cab file ).
By analyzing the DLL referenced in the. exe file, we found that ole32.dll and Winsock were referenced in some programs that reported that the component could not be found. DLL and other DLL, and none of the Mio's Windows Directory and the cracked Script directory can find the corresponding ce version of DLL to try. I am not familiar with the Windows CE system, so I don't know how to fully explain this phenomenon. My guess is the issue of building the wince version. You can use platform builder to customize different wince suitable for your needs. Therefore, some platforms (such as Mio c220) lack corresponding modules, and the simulator is a complete CE platform, therefore, all programs can be run. I have never seen anyone who can crack c220 into the "Start" button in the true sense. I am afraid this is the reason. It is certain that c220 is a Windows CE core 5.0, not a full version.
In addition, the question is, why does the gpscalc program clearly target c220 but cannot run on my Mio? Is it because the program runs on Mio outside China?
In addition, it is worth noting that other Mio models of navigators have the concept of entering the "engineering mode". I think c220 should also be available, and this mode should be able to do some work, I just don't know how to enter.
It seems that we still need to strengthen our research on window ce.

There is a lot of content, and students with patience can read it on one page. I haven't read it yet...
