Considerations for product design

As designers, we always want our users to have a better experience and try to make them like our websites and applications.ProgramAnd the startup interface. The design prototype should be tested and tested repeatedly. Are you sure you want to design it like this? Can you accept it? Will the user operate according to our intention? We need to keep assumptions and verification, constantly optimize and perfect our design, so we need to consider some aspects:

1, Analyze product requirements

When implementing a new product design, first communicate with the product manager to clearly understand the needs. If you have encountered such a problem at work, the product manager sends the requirement to the designer, and then the designer directly designs the function according to the requirement document. When the product manager reviews the prototype, it is found that they are completely different from the products they plan. The designers and product managers lack communication and negotiation, and they have different understandings of product requirements; therefore, the designer should analyze the requirements before design:

2, Product user experience design targeting specific user groups

A product must have a certain market and a group of users need to use it. The user behavior characteristics are different. As a designer, we need to study the target group of this product from point to point and find out the common characteristics of users. The main features of this product are displayed on a webpage.

Analyze the user groups, such as: analyze the age, education level, knowledge level, rational and emotional components, gender, family background, personal growth environment, and the depth of the industry, the client brand, operating system, browser and its version used, Operation habits, consumption ability, personal good and evil, region, access time, stay time, stay on the page, the operating language and other information are designed based on different needs, so that you fully understand your users and design prototypes for them.:

3, Understanding Your product-planning page layout

1. The total amount of information on a page should not be too large. It is better that the block provided for user identification should not exceed the number 5-9.

Too many. (Principle, that is, "due to the limited ability of the human brain to process information, it divides complex information into blocks and small units. According to a study by George A. Miller, short-term memories of humans generally only remember 5-9 things at a time .")
2. The main function to be completed on the page is placed at the top of the page subject. Other required functions are placed in the second place.
3. Do not allow those functions that are necessary, not necessary, to forcibly seize the subject location because of their own interests, thus affecting the use of the most familiar and commonly used functions.

The layout of website pages directly affects the convenience of using websites. A reasonable layout will allow users to quickly discover core content and services while browsing the website. If the layout is unreasonable, you need to think about how to obtain the page information and filter the main services from the page content. In this process, users usually scan and browse to capture useful information for users. They do not spend too much time staying on the page and choose to leave the page, or even access the website in the future. Therefore, the focus of page layout is to reflect the core content and services of website operations, and display the core services in key locations for users to browse in the shortest time. After capturing the new information, the user determines whether to perform in-depth browsing and use of the website.

4, A good product experience consists of many details

Poor user experience will lead to a loss of users. Good product experience will keep users and create value. during design, we should always consider the user and ask ourselves if this is acceptable, can it be better ....

4.1 Guiding users' line of sight-applying the furuko chart

Once users enter the page, whether they intentionally or unintentionally enter the page, when people browse the page or layout, the line of sight tends from the top left to the bottom right corner, it's like the design of the page layout has some natural gravity. Because people usually read from the left to the right, from top to bottom, the line of sight will naturally move along this path over time, so we will arrange the content modules according to this line of sight during design; the Kudo icon is familiar with this reading track rule, for example:

The upper-right and lower-left corner are visual blind spots. Therefore, the use of diagonal balance is usually a good design needs to consider factors, because the designers follow the user's habitual eye movement rules.

4.2Use colors to attract user attention

Color can attract people's attention to specific elements, especially when the color of an element is in contrast with other elements. Relatively consistent, humans are more sensitive to differences between objects. Therefore, adding some colors to the page can effectively direct the viewer's sight to what we want them to see. For example:

4.3Friendly interactive text

The use of text is essential to websites. Friendly text can induce users and increase the conversion rate of websites.

Human touch

When designing a product, it gives the product various personality traits, so the design is also human. The text and design elements are both friendly, clever, and intelligent, rather than boring, antique, or arrogant. The product text can be directly spoken to users and provide actual and informal assistance, just as any one person answers a question raised by a neighbor. When users are troubled by the search for important information on the website, the website must provide positive feedback and help guidance. The User Experience Team will find the best balance between the available time of each product. Then, iteration, innovation, and improvement will continue.

Trustworthy

Good design can win the trust of users. Starting from the basic design, for example, the interface ensures high efficiency and professionalism, the action is easy to withdraw, the advertisement is clearly identified, the terminology is consistent, and the user is pleasantly surprised rather than surprised. When the product is in danger, it will warn users, such as insecure links.
