Create an analysis services project in

Recently, I want to create a small project related to data mining. However, since I have never been familiar with the basic knowledge and development in this area before, I am confused and have little experience after several days, I don't even know how to build the most basic vs program. Now I finally know it (see msdn). technical experts should not laugh at me, I just sent a reference to those new users who are engaged in this aspect:

1. Click Start and point to allProgram", Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and then click SQL server business intelligence studio.

   The Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 development environment is opened.

2. Close the "start page" tab. On the "file" menu of Visual Studio, point to "new", and then click "project ".

   You can use business intelligence development studio to create several different types of projects from templates installed with Visual Studio or from templates you define. The template to install depends on the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 component installed.

3. In the Create Project dialog box, select business intelligence project from the project type pane, and then select analysis services project in the template pane ".

   Note: The default project name, default solution name, and default project location at the bottom of the dialog box. By default, a new directory is created for the solution.

4. Change the project name to Analysis Services tutorial. This also changes the solution name and then click OK ".

Now, you have created an analysis services Tutorial Project Based on the Analysis Services Project template in a new solution named Analysis Services tutorial.

Business Intelligence Development studio Components

When a new analysis services project is opened, the Solution Explorer and properties windows are visible and docked. The server resource manager, toolbox, task list, and Error List windows are hidden and docked. Hidden windows appear on the left or right at the bottom of the Visual Studio development environment, depending on whether they are docked. To view a hidden window, place the pointer in the hidden window tab and the window will appear again. To hide a window or cancel a window, click "Hide automatically. If you accidentally close the window, you can open it again from the "View" menu.

The following table describes the windows that are visible when a new analysis services project is opened.

Solution Resource Manager

Tree View that contains objects in the Analysis Services Project. A solution can contain multiple projects. Each project contains one or more items. Based on the information contained in the template from which the project is created, the project contains folders of each object type that can be defined for the project. The Analysis Services project contains the following folders: "Data Source", "Data Source view", "multi-dimensional dataset", "dimension", "mining structure", "role", "assembly", and "Miscellaneous ".

Attribute

Contains the property set of the selected object.
