I haven't written a blog for a while. It's too little time and I haven't reviewed or reflected on it. If it wasn't for a friend who gave me a question, it wasn't necessarily time to write it again.
"How can we reflect the result of cruisecontrol on the lava lamp ?" I have never thought about this question before. My friend asked me this question today. I checked the information and summarized it:
1. Use a true lava lamp
Preparations:
- 4-piece firecracker automation system (cost: $39.99)
- 2 lamps, preferably the kind that boil red and green lava (cost: $9.99)
- Pragmatic automation x10 software (free)
Installation: see Bubble, bubble, build's in trouble
(I have never tried either.)
2. Use Yahoo widget
There are two Yahoo Widgets related to cruisecontrol. The premise is to install Yahoo Widgets.
- CC lava lamp (cruisecontrol dashboard (Java), you can configure multiple cruisecontrol projects. If a project fails to be built, the light is red. The blue box contains the detailed information of the building. After minimizing it, only the lava lamp is left on the desktop. In addition, the interval between status refreshing is at least 5 minutes. Unfortunately, this widget does not seem to be able to change its size.
- CC bubble (cruise control) can only be configured for one project, but you can customize the action after the build fails, such as playing the specified music. (I did not try this, but I saw it in its description ....)
3. directly use the dashboard provided by cruisecontrol (version 2.7.1 or later)
Dashboard includes the functions of the first two methods, that is, it can display the status of all projects (being built, waiting for building, and building), and can customize different messages or music for each project. When there are multiple projects in cruisecontrol, the results are clear at a glance. If you want more details, click the small square that represents the project.
The image also shows one of the new features of the next CC version. (Two projects are under construction ....)
