One of the several issues that need to be addressed with Linux as a working production environment is document collaboration, that is, how to work with documents in Micro$oft office format.
My general way of working is: Create a win7 virtual machine under Linux, install Common Windows software, Office,qq,teamview and so on.
When I write a document, I go into the win virtual machine, write it with the Office software, and make sure that most other colleagues who use Windows can open My Documents normally.
When I read the document, I used WPS in Linux. Successively used OpenOffice, Libreoffice, wps. WPS is best compatible with m$. Although WPS is not guaranteed to be fully compatible, the Linux version has a very good usability and stability, even though there are still minor problems. For example, a 2-page document was typeset under m$ office and became three pages on WPS.
When there is a problem affecting reading, I open the virtual machine and read it in a Windows environment. In less than two years of my time, this situation is still very small. The next thing to say is one of those things:
Phenomenon:
Some of the Micro$oft Office Word format documents, such as pictures, flowcharts and other content, in the Linux WPS environment can not display Chinese, such as:
Workaround:
To the Windows environment, copy the contents of the C:\Windows\Fonts\ directory to the ~/.fonts/directory, such as:
has been copied from the virtual machine to the temporary shared directory ~/windows/temp/fonts.
Create the ~/.fonts directory and copy the fonts.
[[Email protected]:~] mv ~/windows/temp/fonts. Fonts
Note One: This folder is more than 500 MB. In fact, only need to copy a few fonts come on. But I didn't know what to cuff, so I copied it all over.
Note two: about what the program is loading and managing. Fonts This directory, I am not sure, nor is there any intention to delve into the study . There is another configuration file that needs to be mentioned ~/.fonts.conf
[[Email protected]:~] cat ~/. fonts.conf<?xml version="1.0""fonts.dtd "><fontconfig> <dir>~/.fonts</dir></fontconfig>[[ Email protected]:~]
Results:
off Close the document, re-open with WPS without restarting, without logout.
Display Normal ~ ~ ~:-)
