The connection method of residential broadband is much more convenient than that of ADSL. We only need to set the IP address of the NIC and enter the user name and password before accessing the Internet.
1. Set the TCP/IP protocol
Although the technical staff will set up the corresponding TCP/IP protocol for you during the first installation, the computer we use will inevitably experience system crashes or virus intrusion, in this case, all our data is lost or the system is reinstalled. In this case, you need to configure the TCP/IP protocol on your own.
1. First, connect the network cable prepared by the technician to the NIC of the computer, and then start the computer.
2. After restarting, double-click "My Computer> Control Panel> network and dial-up connections" and double-click "Local Connection" in the "Network and dial-up connections" window. 1 ). Click "properties" in the "local connection status" window to open "Local Connection Properties". Double-click "Internet protocol TCP/IP" in the Protocol shown in 2) "Open its attribute panel, and then check the" use the following IP Address "check box, enter 10.19.8.101; 255.255.255.0; 10.19.8.101; 10.19.8.101; 10.19.8.101, click OK and restart the computer.

TIPS: different residential areas have different bandwidth settings and some IP addresses, so you 'd better ask the provider and get the corresponding address. Or you can record the settings of the IP address after the first successful operation, so that you can quickly restore it. Of course, some cells use DHCP servers to assign IP addresses. In this case, you must check the "automatically obtain IP addresses" check box, when a technician configures the network card for the first time, make sure that the IP address belongs to that allocation method.
