Design and User Experience)

What is user experience? The term "User Experience" refers to the application software and aesthetic value. It takes the user-first view as the cornerstone. User Experience mainly consists of four factors: impression (sensory impact), practicality, functionality, and content.

While striving to improve our design level, "User Experience" has been paid more and more attention in the increasingly popular era of web2.0. The following is a reference to the blue ideal article about how to make "UE" for designers, because "UE" is not valued in China.

Now the word UE (User Experience) is getting increasingly popular. Large and small network companies have successively set up UE departments, and web designers have all changed to "UE-related". In the design industry, they talk about UE, learning UE, and disseminating UE, it seems to have become a fashion. Not long ago, there was another activity in UPA China-"in the user experience era, where should we go ?" Directly pushed us to the forefront of improving user experience.

Why is the design department responsible for a comprehensive indicator such as "User Experience?
Why do designers have to undertake such a heavy historical mission alone?

It is recognized that user experience is a comprehensive experience jointly created by various fields and disciplines. For websites, it refers to the full experience users experience when accessing a website or using a system. Their impressions and feelings, whether they are successful, whether they are enjoyed, and whether they want to be used again/again. The problems, doubts, and bugs they can tolerate.

Which may affect the user experience:

Whether the website content meets expectations;
Whether the wording is appropriate;
Can download speed be tolerated;
Is the function practical;
Prompt prompt;
Clear Layout
...... And so on.
This involves:

Business positioning, marketing, and accurate product requirements;
Whether the system is stable, fast, and efficient;
Whether colors and styles strengthen and solidify business needs
...... And so on.

As you can see, in such an environment where many factors work at the same time, what proportion does the interface design take? What can a designer do?

Yes, what we do is the most specific and detailed work, and the results of our work are most directly perceived by users, we have this kind of professional sensitivity and ability to quickly improve user experience satisfaction through a small improvement, but can this truly solve the current website experience problems?

The marketing department said: we need to add a marketing announcement on the login page, which is the most eye-catching.
The product department said: we have added new features and want to add them to the "help" information.
Sales Department: we want to sell advertisements on this page. You can help me put these advertisements in.
The R & D department said: Your interaction method will add a lot of lines of code. I don't think so.

At this time, you can talk about some similarities in the following sections: each of our pages completes a task. Too many branch tasks will interfere with the user's attention, and inaccurate information classification will confuse users, the function of this page is XXX. The advertisement you place is not the goal of the user. The user experience is composed of details. Adding Code is worth the cost ...... Some soft tricks will also be used ". Whether the UE can be promoted successfully depends entirely on the designer's communication level and interpersonal relationship, and becomes a kind of personal behavior.

This is really a sad experience.

The author believes that the designer undertakes the work of "UE". In fact, "UE" should be implemented throughout the entire production process and between various collaboration departments, there should be independent departments dedicated to "UE" and their tasks are:
1. Remove your subjective preferences.
2. enable people with different backgrounds (designers, developers, and customers) to have a unified consensus on understanding the website.
3. create basic rules that compare with competitor websites or previous development to provide your customers with a factual basis for their website advantages and disadvantages and visually display them.

Of course, as a web designer, the balance between the user experience and the weight of the individual design, I personally think that the user experience is supreme, and the user experience includes the visual effect.
