Device not recognized in Xcode

Source: Internet
Author: User

In some cases, Xcode does not recognize (or even see) the connected devices that were previously identified, even if the Mac Os/ios/xcode version does not change. This may seem to occur if you lock the device while your Mac and/or device is connected. Even if you do, the device will still ask you if you want to trust the computer, but the device is still not visible in Xcode.

Restarting Xcode or the device does not appear to have any effect. One solution is to restart your Mac. Another faster solution is to restart Usbmuxd:

1. Exit Xcode
2. Disconnect the device
3. In the terminal window, type: ' sudo pkill usbmuxd ' (it will restart automatically)
4. Restart Xcode
5. Connecting the device

Your device should now be visible again in Xcode.
