Differences between bridges, hubs, and switches

HUB: The entire HUB is a conflicting domain. The CSMA/CD mechanism is used to detect and listen. packets from a port are forwarded to all other ports without analysis, devices connected to the HUB share bandwidth, which has low utilization, low efficiency, and distance restrictions. At any time, only two computers can communicate with each other.
Bridge: create a bridge table (MAC) to determine which port to forward data to based on the MAC table. Each port is a conflicting domain, and each device will enjoy the bandwidth of one port.
Switch: both the bridge and the switch are broadcast domains. Each port is a conflict domain and a MAC table is formed to guide Frame Forwarding. The difference is that the number of switch ports is large, you can divide the whole broadcast domain into multiple broadcast domains by VLAN.
