When install sap, We occured the following problem:

When open the detail log, we only find text "error in initialization (can't get R/3-version )". we cocould not get detail error analysis. so PLS follow the note:162266To find the ansible.

Message:

RC from syscoprocesswait =-1

Error messages may possibly displayed during the execution in the DOS window (not in the r3setup instgui window ).

Cause:
In r3setup step dipgntab_nt, program dipgntab.exe is executed. If errors occur during the execution, SQL errors occur later when the system is started when varous tables are accessed.

Solution:

Log off and log onto <Sid> adm. First try to execute dipgntab with

Parameters which are also used by the r3setup:

"Dipgntab-rwr40-srctt ddntt-srctf ddntf-dsttt ddntt-dsttf ddntf-ttonly TT" (on one line ).

If error messages like the following occur:

"Sap_dext called with msgnr 900"

Try the following command line to get more precise information regarding the error:

"Dipgntab-print-tabl instvers-Trace 4"

Typical causes for the errors are:

The database is not running.
Database users (OPS $-user) are not set up correctly. Check the DB connect with "r3trans-d ".
The version of dipgntab. EXE does not fit the version of the database library dbsl (for example, dboraslib. DLL ). this may happen if you have replaced the sap kernel and the dbsl with a newer version during the installation (for example, 4.6d), but the dipgntab. EXE however is still
In the original version (for example, 4.6c ).
After the cause of the error has been eliminated, the installation must be continued by executing step dipgntab_nt again.
