Why not? The main reason is that the green in the tool is too wide to achieve accurate adjustment, at this time, directional adjustment will come in handy.

What is directional color separation? Let's look at a picture first.

We copy the layer, reverse it, and then change the blending mode to hue, and when you turn the opacity to 50%, you'll find that the picture is black and white (a little color will only reduce the saturation and not be completely dimmed).

In other words, in most cases, we mix a color with its 50% inverse color in hue mode, which turns gray.

This lays the groundwork for the operation behind us.

Take that picture for example, we use the eyedropper tool to select Green, and then create a new layer, fill, change the blending mode to hue, adjust the opacity (generally less than 50%), the result is:

Because the color recognition is accurate, so the separation effect is much better.

So, what is the role of directional color separation? It has three main functions.

First, the correction of color bias.

Second, the creation of gray tune.

Third, to create a specific color.

The average person might think of an optional color, hue, or saturation tool.
