DLL hell of business activity monitor bam.xls

When you open bam.xls to monitor business activities, the following error is reported:

Chinese version: Hiding module compilation errors: Tools
English version: "compile error in hidden module: utility"

Because the Bam project is password protected, developers cannot perform debugging.

The cause of the error is the well-known DLL hell issue. The BizTalk 2004 Bam template uses the msado27.tlb (MSDA 2.7) Library. If you have installed the latest version of MSDA 2.8, because the versions of the two are incompatible, Bam cannot work normally.

The solution is to open a new Excel file and reference the following file in VBA ide: C: \ Program Files \ common files \ System \ ADO \ msado27.tlb, remove the referenced Microsoft ActiveX Data object2.8 library, save the file, close the file, and re-open bam.xls. This will work.
