Once you modify the stacking order of AP elements in Dreamweaver CS5, you automatically determine the level position of the AP element on the z-axis. The larger the number on the z-axis, the closer the element is to the user; The smaller the number on the z-axis, the farther away the element is from the user. In the same position, if two or more HTML elements exist at the same time, the largest number on the z-axis, then, is bound to obscure the smaller numbers on the z-axis and be presented to the user individually, that is, in the same position, the user can only see the element with the largest number on the z axis. And you can't see the other elements.
To set the stacking order of AP elements in Dreamweaver CS5, first open the HTML document you want to edit, click Design View, make the document in the edit window in Design view, and then follow the steps below.
First, use the property panel to set the stacking order of AP elements
1. Click on the "Window" menu, select "AP Element" command, open the AP elements panel to view the current stacking order of AP elements.
2. In the Design view window of the document, or in the AP elements panel, select the AP element for which you want to change the z-axis value.
3. Click the Window menu, select Properties, and open the AP Element Properties window, as shown in the following illustration:
4. Enter the number you want in the z-axis text box. You can change the stacking order of the AP element.
Enter a number that is larger than the original to move the AP elements up in the stacking order.
Enter a number smaller than the original to move the AP element down in the stacking order.
Use the AP elements panel to set the stacking order of AP elements
1. Click on the "Window" menu, select "AP Element" command, open the AP elements panel.
2. In the AP elements panel, double-click the z-axis number next to the AP element for which you want to modify the z-axis value, as shown in the following illustration:
3. Double-click "2" to make it editable, enter the number you need, and then press ENTER to change the stacking order of AP elements.
Enter a number that is larger than the original to move the AP elements up in the stacking order.
Enter a number smaller than the original to move the AP element down in the stacking order.
Tip: In the AP elements panel, AP elements are arranged in the order of the z axis, the larger the number on the z-axis, the closer the top, and the smaller the number on the z-axis, the closer the bottom.
