Esxi host password cracking

Recently I changed my work. During work handover, I found that many esxi hosts do not have a password and all of them can only be cracked.

To restore the password, perform the following operations:

• Use Linux to start a CD, such as an rhel5 installation CD or knoppix.

• Create the/mnt/sda5 directory, mkdir/mnt/sda5

• Mount command:

Mount-tvfat Mount/dev/sda5/mnt/sda5

• Cracking:

CP/mnt/sda5/stage. tgz/tmp/

CD/tmp

Tar xvfz stage. tgz

Tar xvfz local. tgz

VI/tmp/etc/shadow

For example, root: X: 143434343: 12232: 9: 99999: 7.

143434343 in this row is cleared

Rm-F stage. tgz local. tgz

Tar czvf local. tgz etc

Tar czvf stage. tgz local. tgz

CP local. tgz/mnt/sda5/
