• Use a Word (caption or sub-title) to supplement your title with a larger font size.

• Use a picture (a visual representation of the title or description) to maximize.

• Use some good pictures, even if they are not authorized. Especially if you're not able to hire a designer or photographer to specialize in your design. Keep in mind that this is not a TED speech, you need to pitch few people, close the door to discuss with a handful of people.

Tell a fascinating story.

Many of the articles on "How to design your financing speech" show that you need 10 slides for your presentation. While a slide is important, if it's not a story, the pitch is a failure. You need to impress investors completely.

A three-minute story

The best way to do this is to design a compelling three-minute story that includes a solution to the problem, how your product is designed, and why your company will succeed.

Your story should show the answers to all the questions about your product. Make your story as concise as possible and appealing to others. The supplementary content of the speech can be a regular slide, if there is a discussion you can refer to the above content.

The goal of the first meeting was not to get financing, but to ensure a second meeting. The goal of your story is to tell each detail of the product without delaying the investor's time. The most important thing to remember is that for months you are thinking about product-related content in order to be able to articulate product issues and solutions. For potential investors, the effect is not obvious. What's the best way? Repeat important content.

Design Tips

"Great Design"

Most people think that good design is directly related to beauty. They are wrong. Excellent design is the ideal effect through the visual transmission. Did you notice how ugly our first slide was? This is in fact intentional.

We want people to be able to respond instinctively to whether the problem is chaotic and whether they feel uncomfortable.

We used an iconic image in the communication. As investors know, Mark Zuckerberg is a poor makeup artist, so this little visual joke helps find solutions to our product problems.

Using transitions

To maintain a uniform visual effect, you should be adept at transitioning to images of the same type or location.

Keep a consistent image and type of image on your slides, and it can also help you find ideas. A good example is this iconic short film, "2001:a Space Odyssey".

One feature of our slideshow is the impressive transition part, which is like a magic button. The first slide highlights a person who has a tight brow, a ragged face and a painful look. We admit that we need a decent person to wear in our speeches. In addition, we have to be relatively low-key or even some messy.

With a very image of the man to speak and oral presentation, we assist in adding some humor. But it is more important to remember that implicit representations can make the solution awkward.

Funding budget

It's not really money because we talk about your product but you don't actually do anything. Whatever story you decide to tell, it almost includes all the explanations for what you've done.

You don't have time for a full and exhaustive presentation in a 3-minute presentation, so your goal is to describe why your solution is more effective than other alternatives.

In our speeches, we compared Mylo and two other extremely primitive solutions in the same matter, and finally proved that our solutions are more comprehensive, more beautiful, more humane and high-tech.

Again, you may not be sure about the amount of money needed at this stage, and the story is much more interesting than the numbers. The purpose of the story is to persuade your investors to show your creativity and future opportunities in the future.

In our speeches, we demonstrate our potential and undeniable future. Our presentation shows that the company is relatively small in the current stage, but it also gives us a huge opportunity to develop.

Don't be shy: fight for the gold bars and money in your briefcase in your investor's space suit. The important thing is that they are actually here to make money, and everyone is pretending that they are Elon Musk.

Supplemental slides

You've spent three weeks making a three-minute story, but you're still not finished. If you have studied several different narrative methods and a lot of relevant information, you cannot abandon them for brevity.

Fortunately, these ideas can not be wasted. After your three-minute speech is complete, investors may have some questions about your project. You need to anticipate potential problems before giving a speech, and create supplemental slides to provide visual support for your future answers.

If investors ask you questions about competition (when people, they will definitely ask), you have to be prepared in advance, who your competitors will be, and why you are unique.

For Mylo, it is an excellent thing to reaffirm the enormous business opportunities in mobile life trade. We have also prepared additional slides for investors on competitor changes.

We also take the time to think about the business model of lifestyle, but we can't put this part of our thinking into the core speech. But we turned this part of the idea into a supplemental slide. We discussed the current gap between Gap and Ikea and why we can compete with Amazon in the future.

If you need an extra explanation for your presentation, a supplemental version of the slide, it can be used as a small copy to help you remember all the key points that can't be put in the speech.

To generalize

Not all slides are artwork, and most people usually add information on the slide template, but it doesn't convey the content as clearly as the picture does.

You can't guarantee that every slide is perfect, so make sure the quality of the first slide is as good as possible.
