Many friends after installing Office (2010 or 2013, etc.), found that right-click New does not have Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other items, but their office is clearly installed. What should we do at this time? Here, this article provides you with a simple solution.
1. Click Start, locate the Run command line, enter Regedit, and open the registry.
2. Locate the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT directory on the left and expand it.
3. First, we use CTRL + F shortcut to find the location of "docx", of course, you can also pull down to find.
4. Once found, do not expand the directory. We can see that there is a (default) on the right, at which point the default value is Word_auto_file, and it does not matter if this value is not.
5. Double-click (default) to change it to word.document.12.
6. Close the registry and refresh the desktop, which is what we found right-click New in Word Magic back.
7. In the same way, we go to the registry to find the location of "xlsx" and Change (default) to excel.sheet.12; then look for "pptx" and Change (default) to powerpoint.show.12.
8. Close the registry, go back to the desktop, after multiple refreshes, right-click on the new word, Excel, PPT will be all back.
9. If you do not find the appropriate directory when you use CTRL + F in the registry, please note the "Find Next" that is identified in the figure. CTRL + F can only find content after that location, select the first directory in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT directory, and then look again.
Note:
This method is available under the Office2010 and Office2013 versions, and the remaining versions may be different. The initial value in the registry (the default) may be different, but it doesn't matter, just change it to the corresponding value. Http://jingyan.baidu.com/article/1974b28985d4bbf4b0f77458.html
