Our lives and jobs often have data in Excel documents that need to be kept secret, so we can set a read-only password or modify the password for the Excel tabular data document.
Let's take a look at how to set a password for a document in Excel2007.
Click the button in the upper-left corner of the Excel2007 and select Save As in the pop-up menu. or press the shortcut key F12 is also the same effect.
In the lower left corner of the Save as interface, there is a tool button, click the small triangle to the right of the Tools button, and select General Options in the pop-up menu.
Then we can set the password in the General options. You can use this password to read this Excel file after you set the password to open permission. You can use this password to open and modify this Excel file after you set the password to modify permissions. When you check "recommended Read Only", others pop up the suggested read-only prompt when they try to open an Excel file.
PS: Setting a password for a file in the Excel2000 and Excel2003 versions is similar, but the interface is slightly different, and in the "Save As" interface "tool" is in the upper-right corner.
