On the morning of July 15, May 7, Beijing time, according to the US technology blog businessinsider, Facebook recently launched an internal project named "hackamonth", allowing employees to switch jobs to cope with possible resignation trends.
Every company experiences a bitter growth period, and Facebook does not seem to be an exception: employees are dissatisfied with the company's new middle-level managers, exercise pre-IPO stock options, switch to another company, or simply take a vacation. Facebook launched the hackamonth internal project to reassure employees, which is similar to Google's practice, that is, employees are allowed to spend 20% of their work time on their favorite projects, but Facebook goes further.
According to the hackamonth project, any Facebook engineer who has been working in a team for one year can apply to join another team for one month, after expiration, the engineer can decide whether to stay in the new team.
Facebook has sponsored three pilot projects and achieved some success in the past year. It has launched some popular products, such as Facebook mobile website and deals group buying launched last month. The hackamonth project was officially launched in May this year and will become a formal monthly project in the future. Facebook hopes that about 10% of its employees can participate in this project at any time. (Yonghong)
