These five design principles are in the growing team, the project is more and more, the quality of the team output is uneven, the team members are also tired of the delivery has no sense of the designer to summarize the situation. Try to set a design tone for the team and give the team a spirit of vitality.

The main reference is Dieter Rams "good design of the 10 principles", Apple iOS Design guidelines, of course, there are Google's top ten design principles, because rams is the principle of industrial design, iOS is an operating system platform principles, Google is a company's design philosophy, If it is difficult to copy the audience (in fact, more important is too much, because whichever is more than the memory limit of 7+-2), so I try to set everyone's director, to their team to find some principles, here also share to everyone.

Before we start introducing these five design principles, we should reflect on what is bad design? What do you think the design should not be? 1. Useful

A product created, must first be useful, to meet the needs of people, can solve the user problem, which is not limited to functional needs and problems, but also should include people's psychological, emotional and the need for beauty. To do this, we must first understand the needs of users, which is a very difficult step, but is to make good products have to go through. Understanding the needs of users is more than just going to the streets to ask people what you need, how do you feel about such products ... It is a process of research, thinking, and prototyping that requires in-depth questions, understanding trends, judging people's motivations and values, and digging out potential needs. Often a good product comes out before people do not expect to have such a product. This is the fun of design:)

2, the innovative

A good design, must also be innovative, the innovation here is not "micro-innovation", nor "creation", because many products do not have too many opportunities to create from scratch, but there is the opportunity to innovate, the use of new technology, new materials, new interactive process, so that products are used to better meet the 1th " Useful "

3. Elegant

Some people say that China's current website and interface design is very vulgar, because the Chinese taste is vulgar ... But I think that people's taste is the need for good design and products to improve. The quality of the Europeans is high because they are born to see, the use of everywhere is filled with good design, architecture and products, imperceptible. 4. Intuitive

The first three should be a lot of design can be adhered to, such as industrial design, graphic design, clothing design ... For the interaction design, the good design should be able to use their own instinct or life and professional experience can be used and operation, which requires a simple, friendly, can be quickly understood by the user, in fact, it is this, let the interactive product real and people have a dialogue ...

5, the Ultimate

Well, the last one to the "extreme", when we do design or product, it will be finished, will be on-line, and finally check whether it has reached the extreme? The extreme is not perfect, but in what has been done to do the best, best, do not let go of a detail to the best show the design and product status show to the user ... such as a pixel, a text, a color, an operation delay ...

These five principles are the result of learning and thinking over the years, and can be used as the design philosophy and pursuit of the designing team.
