The Pencil tool's color, weight, style definition, and line tool have three modes in its subsidiary options, as shown in Figure 2-2-13.

Straighten mode: A line drawn in straighten mode that turns a line into a straight line that is close to the shape. Smoothing mode: It converts lines into curves that are close to the shape. Ink mode: Without modification, completely maintain the shape of the mouse trajectory.

Here are the lines drawn by the three patterns, as shown in Figure 2-2-14.

The use of "pencil tool" is very simple, everyone practice at their own discretion. The Pencil tool has these three modes, but to use it directly to draw, it depends on how you can tame the mouse. If your mouse is not very obedient, you'd better use the "line tool" and "pen tool".
