Brocade Switch Zone Division

The brocade switch is widely used as the more affordable fiber switch, and the Zone division is an important function, the common method has character interface and graphical interface. Here's a brief introduction:

The command flow is:

Alicreate

When creating a zoning configuration, you should first create an alias and create an alias for all devices that need to be partitioned zone. An alias can have more than one device as its member at the same time.

Zonecreate

Then create the zone and use the alias as a member of the zone, creating zone should follow the principle of only one initiator in each zone;

Cfgcreate

After all the zone are created, you need to create configuration, put zone that need to be present in a configuration, and create multiple configuration configuration scenarios that can be zone under different scenarios as needed.

Cfgenable

After creating one or more configuration, these configurations are not yet in effect, to really complete the division of the zone, you also need to specify that the configuration configuration is a valid configuration, this work can be done with the cfgenable command.

Cfgsave

All the zone configured above are stored in memory and will be lost after the switch restarts. Use the Cfgsave command to save the zone configuration (including that configuration) in RAM into Flash for a long time.
