Concept Structure Design and Billing System Structure Design
The general process of database design must be known to everyone. People who do not know can easily find relevant information on the Internet. Generally, we divide database design into six stages, that is, the requirement analysis stage, conceptual structure design stage, logical structure design stage, physical structure design stage, implementation stage, operation and maintenance stage.
This time, we will not talk about the theoretical knowledge of database design, but mainly explain how the conceptual structure design of databases is based on the database design of the data room charging system, of course, it includes the most difficult requirement analysis in database design. Otherwise, we will not be able to talk about the conceptual structure design of any database.
Because we have already done it all over again, and from the very beginning we did it according to the prototype of the system, there was no process from scratch, so we were unable to understand what the real demand analysis was like, we will not think about how the functions of the system to be developed are abstracted. In my personal understanding, I will start the design of the database of the data center charging system.
The Charging System of the IDC room is used by the personnel on duty and management personnel of the IDC room. Therefore, the users of the system will be an entity. In order to meet the customer's needs, users must be given permission settings. The information to be managed by the system is naturally the information of the students themselves and the data records generated by the students on the computer. Therefore, the students are also an essential entity.
Due to the three paradigm principle, many people extract the card information from the original student information to form another entity, namely, the card entity. This improves the flexibility of the database. After a student's card is lost, the lost card information can be deleted from the database and the student's card number can be updated. However, in the actual use of the system, this design does not have much advantage, but reduces the query efficiency because it involves two tables. Some people say that using a view can be done, but it is relatively troublesome for a table.
We then analyzed that system user operations will generate work records, and students will generate machine records on the machine room. system users have the permissions to register, cancel, and recharge cards, therefore, the corresponding data information will be generated, so that the basic data settings for a system run are poor. The data information needs to be stored in a table, so the basic database entity diagram can be drawn.
The figure above is an extremely simple figure, and there may be many errors. After all, it is not capable of mastering the abstract analysis of the development system. Of course, the figure above does not show the attributes of each entity. I will use the power designer software to draw the conceptual structure of the system. Of course, this figure is not a standard CDM, the main purpose is to show you the attributes of each object.
In short, the most difficult part of database design is the initial requirement analysis stage. It may take a long time for developers and clients to discuss and communicate with each other before they can produce the final result, in addition, it may be necessary to continuously improve and improve the development process in the future. Of course, strictly speaking, what I am talking about here is not really a database design. Because the existence of the system blueprint and the database blueprint will interfere with our thinking and analysis, but this is learning. You have to go through this process and build a database by yourself, so that you will have a profound understanding, because you will never learn to swim on the shore!
