The purpose of time management
The purpose of time management is to put time into work related to your goals to achieve "three effects", namely effect, efficiency, and efficiency.
Results are the expected results;
Efficiency is the result obtained at the minimum cost or cost;
Performance is the best expected result at the minimum cost or cost.

Historical Evolution of Time Management Theory
First, let's take a look at the historical evolution of time management theory. In the process of technological development, everyone pursues better efficiency, efficiency, and effect. How to save more time and how to put time into the most efficient results in the process of pursuit, there have been several methods in history, the change between these methods is like a historical evolution.
First Generation Time Management Theory
It is basically a memorandum. On the one hand, let it go, and on the other hand, it will track the time schedule. Note is a special feature of memorandum management, which can be carried with you. If you forget it, you can take it out. If most of the tasks are completed by the end of today's day, they can be crossed out in the memorandum; otherwise, they will be added to tomorrow's memorandum. This is the first generation of time management, called the memorandum of time management.
The advantage of such time management is that when important things change, they have a strong adaptability and conform to the facts. Another advantage is that there is no pressure, or the pressure is relatively small. Memorandum-Based Management facilitates tracking those To-Do items.
However, the memorandum management does not strictly control the organizational structure and is relatively casual. Therefore, some things are often missed. Ignoring the overall organizational planning, sometimes there is a kind of problem that seems to be dealing with the situation or some work. This is the shortcoming of the first generation of time management.
Second Generation Time Management Theory
The emphasis is on "planning and preparation", which features a notebook. The feature is to set a schedule, record what should be done, indicate the deadline for completion, and indicate the date of the meeting.
This management mode has the advantage of tracking appointments and what to do. The achievement rate of tasks completed through the set goals and planning is relatively high.
The disadvantage is that it is easy to generate the habit of arranging everything, and there is no room for thinking.
Third Generation Time Management Theory
The main idea is "planning, making priorities, and operating on me ". This generation of management emphasizes value and aims at achieving a value. Therefore, it is characterized by writing daily activities on paper or inputting computers to plan a variety of planning tables or organizational tables in detail. It is mainly used to improve work and life efficiency.
The advantage of the third generation of time management is to emphasize values, take value as the basis, or take value as the orientation of a way of life and work. It can achieve long-term, mid-term, or short-term goals, and improve productivity through daily planning and priority; it is highly efficient and orderly.
The negligence of the third generation of time management is manifested in ignoring the natural law and lack of foresight. Because it is value-oriented and you want to get these things, you think this is the most important thing in your life, so there are often some mistakes in the arrangement, in fact, the value may not be the natural law.
Fourth generation time management
It emphasizes all the theory of the compass centered on natural laws. This kind of management law goes beyond the traditional idea of faster, better, and more efficient. Instead of changing the clock, it provides a compass because how fast people are going is one thing, direction is the most important. But how to get closer to the future goal.
This kind of management theory emphasizes the action of every day, and the action of every time period should be very close to the goal of the future. Therefore, it emphasizes a direction, also called zhengbei theory.
