For HP laptops, the chipset must be installed with drivers in some operating systems to work properly. If the driver is not installed in certain sequence, it may not be normal after installation. For example, the mouse panel does not have certain functions, and the Device Manager has unknown devices. From multiple practices, it is found that the driver installation has certain sequence requirements:
Download the latest driver from the HP website (either Chinese or English). The installation sequence is as follows:
The chipset (chipset) is the driver of the Motherboard chipset and must be installed first.
The operating system enhancement component (system enhancement or system enhancements disk) is an enhancement component of the operating system. It is very important to provide drivers for the main board.
The installation of the display card driver may require the DirectX version. Check the instructions on the website.
Audio Sound Card
Nic
Modem
Touchpad, mouse, mouse
DVD player
Shortcut for easy access button or quick lunch button
Speedstep
Note:
After each driver is installed, if you are prompted to restart the machine, you must restart the machine. If no restart prompt is displayed, you are advised to restart it once. If the computer is not restarted, the driver installation may fail.
The installation sequence of the preceding three drivers cannot be changed. The installation sequence of the drivers can be changed at will.
If your machine does not have any of the above drivers, you can skip this step. For example, no speedstep driver is installed on any XP computer. The modem and its drivers are not installed.
Most drivers on Chinese and English websites do not support downloading tool software. We recommend that you download the software directly instead of downloading the tool software.
