Deploying Java-developed Web applications under Linux, typically using the TOMACT+JRE environment (Apache is not required), can be installed under Rhel and CentOS with the Yum online automatic installation method, as follows:
Yum Install Tomcat6
Executing the above command will automatically install Tomcat and the associated JDK
The following end installs the system location and detects the installation situation
installation location /etc/TOMCAT6 Main program / Software Store webapp location /var/lib/tomcat6/WebApps After use of the Yum installation in CentOS, The Tomcat-related directories have been signed to the/usr/share/Tomcat6 directory, including WebApps, which is convenient for us to configure management /usr/share/tomcat6 logging location / Var/log/tomcat6
