The school uses the Inode client authentication to surf the Internet. If you are using the Ubuntu 32-bit version, you can install it perfectly and be able to connect to the website. However, if the Ubuntu Desktop 12.10 AMD64 version is installed, the previous "inodeclient_for_linux_v3.60-e6210.tar.gz" cannot be installed. Therefore, we need to find another way to realize the network.

Workaround: Add a shared dynamic-link library under the i386 environment in the Ubuntu 12.10 release.

Installation environment: Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64-bit  ,  H3C client:inodeclient_for_linux_v3.60-e6210.tar.g  installation process:  I need to install the Ubuntu link to WiFi to download some compatibility packs.  1) If the ia32-libs is installed directly, it is not successful. So before installing Ia32-libs, select Ia32-libs to execute the required packages and execute the following command: #sudo apt-get install libc6-i386                #sudo apt-get install lib32stdc++6               #sudo apt-get install lib32z1              #sudo Apt-get install lib32ncurses5 Note: If you can't download it, update:              #sudo apt-get update 2) After installing the package, it is found that the Ia32-libs software package can be installed. So install the Ia32-libs package, execute the following command: # apt-get install ia32-libs 3) after completing the Ia32-libs installation, try installing inodeclient_for_linux_ V3.60-e6210.tar.gz. Unzip it to the local disk first.   First enter the USR directory to create a folder, such as:              #cd/usr             &nbsp #sudo mkdir inode              #cd If the inode is downloaded directly to the Ubuntu system with WiFi, it is usually stored in the directory/home/hadoop/downloads, inodeclient_for_linux_v3.60-e6210.tar.gz copied to/usr/ Inode directory               #cp/home/hadoop/downloads/inodeclient_for_ LINUX_V3.60-E6210.TAR.GZ/USR/INODE 4) Decompression inodeclient_for_linux_v3.60-e6210.tar.gz              # tar zxvf  inodeclient_for_linux_ V3.60-e6210.tar.gz This is in the Inode directory will automatically generate a new folder, Inodeclient, go to this folder               # CD inodeclient 5) then execute the following command: # sudo ./install.sh NOTE: Sometimes you need to set permissions on install.sh files before installing:   & nbsp;           #chmod 755 install.sh               # PS aux | grep a      user       PID%cpu%MEM    vsz   RSS ttystat start   time COMMAND root     13194  0.0  0.1&nbsp ; 16868  1204?        sl   08:14   0:00 /usr/inode/ Authenmngservice from the above results you can see that Authenmngservice has run successfully.  6) Now executes inodeclient will prompt that the dynamic link library does not exist or is invalid. In a 64-bit system, the shared dynamic-link library is saved in/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu, but our inode does not use the library file under this directory. After installing Ia32-libs, the library files of the 32-bit environment will generally be saved under/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu, so the files under this directory can be used as a soft link to the non-existent or invalid library files. Note: The Lib Library in 64-bit Ubuntu is not libtiff.so.3 file, so we need to i386-linux-gnu the libtiff.so file with a soft link to/usr/lib, and named Libtiff.so.3. However, it is important to note that there are different versions of Libtiff in the i386 of the system, Some libtiff.so.4, some libtiff.so.5, there are libtiff.so.4.3.4, this time you will have to look at your computer's Libtiff version number.            Execute the following command:     Enter the I386-LINUX-GNU directory first:               # cd /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu                # LL | grep libjpeg        //Find current version of Libjpeg library file     lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root &nbsp ;     16  September 21:08 libjpeg.so.8 libjpeg.so.8.0.2      # ln-s/u sr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libjpeg.so.8/usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 //Create soft links                                  # ll | grep libtiff        //Find the current version of the Libtiff library file            & nbsp      lrwxrwxrwx   1 root root       16  September 20 21:08 libtiff.so.4        # ln-s/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libtiff.so.4 /usr/lib/libtiff.so.3     //Create a soft link, and notice which version of Libtiff you have here is used to create a soft link.   If you get:               LN: You cannot create a symbolic link "/usr/lib/libtiff.so.3 ": File already exists        #sudo RM libtiff.so.3     // If libtiff.so.3 exists, delete it first                     # ln-s/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libtiff.so.4 /usr/lib/libtiff.so.3 7) After you complete the soft link of the library file, Execute the following command to start the Inode authentication client as shown in.     #  cd/usr/iNode/iNodeClient  #./inodeclient     H3C client appears, create a new network connection, Enter your account number and password to connect.   Special attention:   Be aware of the order, do not immediately establish a link after downloading the Compatibility Pack, or do not do it before installing H3C. Install.sh before the link, so that in the installation will appear to find some library errors, in fact, these libraries are in the installation package, if you first set up a link, then the installation will automatically go to your computer to find these libraries, and these libraries in your computer is not exist, and can not be found on the Internet to download.  So be sure to note the order before you can build a soft link after the installation is complete. There is also a soft link in the time to pay attention to the existence of the soft link you create the entity, such as # Ln-s/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libtiff.so.4/usr/lib/ Libtiff.so.3, some systems in the I386-linux-gnu file there is no libtiff.so.4 this file, but libtiff.so.5, this time you will use libtiff.so.5 to establish links, # Ln-s/usr/lib /i386-linux-gnu/libtiff.so.5/usr/lib/libtiff.so.3.
