LoadRunner Association (2) Automatic Association

In the previous article, we introduced the meaning of Association and the situation in which association is needed.

This time we will introduce the automatic association in LoadRunner.

Automatic association includes two mechanisms:

One is that the LoadRunner prompts the user whether to associate by comparing the server response during recording and playback, and allows the user to create association rules by themselves, this function makes it easy for us to obtain the part that needs to be associated, but there are also some problems, such as: the Association points detected by automatic association do not necessarily need to be associated, this requires us to make judgments based on actual conditions. Some dynamic data that needs to be associated cannot be found automatically. This requires manual Association.

The other is the automatic association rules provided by LoadRunner. When recording a script, the Association is automatically created according to these rules.

The automatic association procedure is as follows:

1. Enable auto-join

If you want to use the association rules that come with LoadRunner to create an association, enable association rules in [recording options]> [Internet Protocol]> [correlation] and select "enable correlation during recording". When recording scripts of these application systems, vugen automatically creates an association in the script. You can also add association rules in [recording options]> [Internet Protocol]> [correlation] to achieve automatic association.

If you need to play back the script, LoadRunner automatically detects the part to be associated, select save correlation information during replay and show scan for correlations popup after replay of vuser in tools> General Options> correlation ", after the script is played back, the scan action for correlation window is displayed to search for correlated points.

3. Play back the script

If the recorded script requires association, an error occurs during script playback.

 

4. The check Association dialog box is displayed automatically, or the Manual start Association detection dialog box is displayed.

If you select Save correlation information during replay and show scan for correlations popup after replay of vuser in tools> General Options> correlation ", after the script is played back, the "Scan action for correlation" window will pop up automatically. Click "yes" for automatic search.

If the preceding settings are not selected, you can press Ctrl + F8 to enable automatic association search.

 

5. view the Association points detected by the system for association settings

If there are differences between recording and playback, LoadRunner will list the content to be associated in "correlation results", click a content to be associated, and click "create rule ", the system displays the rule for obtaining the current data. Click "yes" to create the rule. A web_reg_save_param function is added to the script.

You can also click correlate to create an association, or press correlate all to enable vugen to associate all the data at once.

Note: Since correlation studio will find all the changed data, but not all the data needs to be associated, it is not recommended that you directly use correlate all ].

 

6. Check the association correctness by playing back the script

After the association is created, check the association correctness by playing back the script.
