During the installation of loaderunnner, you may often encounter problems such as failure to install loaderunnner, and I also encountered related problems. So I checked the relevant information and summarized the situation, communicate with colleagues
(1) The message "The Link file... may be too upted or has illegated link string" indicates that the installation cannot be performed multiple times.
Cause: the installation folder name of your loaderunner is written in Chinese, causing the LR installation tutorial to be unable to identify the path, resulting in constant error prompts.
Solution: Change the Directory Name of the Installation File to non-Chinese.
(2) unable to fully uninstall
To completely uninstall the old LR version, the correct steps are as follows:
1. Stop all running LR processes and services (including the controller, vugen, analysis, orLoadRunnerAgent process/Service)
2. Back up existing scripts. Your scripts may be in your default installation path.
3. In the Add/delete program on the control panel, delete LR and restart the machine.
4. manually delete all LR folders, including the LR shortcut in your Start Menu
5. If your version is 6.0 series, delete the Borland folder (usually in the C: \ Borland or c: \ BDE directory)
6. Search for wlrun. * And vugen. *. In addition to the files in the installation folder,OthersDelete all
7. Open the registry and find
If you have installed only the MI company LoadRunner product, delete it:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mercury Interactive
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Mercury Interactive
Otherwise, delete:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mercury Interactive \ LoadRunner
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Mercury Interactive \ LoadRunner
Delete all LR-related values except your license2 or license.
8. Clear the recycle bin
After the above steps are completed, you can install them with confidence. Remember to restart the machine after the reinstallation, because some necessary information must be written to the Registry.
(3) After uninstallation, a message "License security violation. operation is not allowed" is displayed during installation. The installation fails.
Solution:
1. log on to a normal LoadRunner computer (the installation path must be the same as yours), enter the registry, and export the following two directories:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Mercury Interactive
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Mercury Interactive
2. Go back to the computer that was not successfully installed and enter the Registry to import the two files.
3. Run the installation again.
Suggestion: if a ghost is used, perform the ghost operation in advance, or set the Restore point for the system.
