Mac Force quit shortcut keys

1. Use keyboard shortcuts to force quit MAC programs that are in active state

Shortcut key: Command+option+shift+esc

This is one of the most convenient ways to press and hold for two seconds to force exiting the current program.

2. Open the Force Exit program window

Using shortcut keys: Command+option+esc

To open the "Force Quit Application" window, then select the program you want to quit, then click "Force quit" at the bottom right.

3. Force the program to exit from the dock

Hold down OPTION and then right-click on the icon in the dock to see the option to "Force exit" and select it.

4. Force the program to exit from the Apple menu in the top left corner

This is similar to the second one, from the top left-hand corner of the menu choose "Forced exit", but sometimes the program when the machine, click on the menu will not respond to the situation.

5. Force the program to quit using Activity Monitor

Find the "Activity Monitor" in the application-utility, find the name of the program and then select the red button on the top left to force the program to quit, something similar to Task Manager in Windows. If none of the above methods work, then try this method.

6. Use Terminal command to force quit program

This should be considered as the last way to restart the computer, enter the following command in the terminal

Killall [Program Name]

For example, to opt out of safari, enter Killall Safari and return, so that all safari-related processes are exited; If you want to point it out, you can find some individual by PS or PS aux command, and then use Kill-9 [PID] to separate Ends a process.
