Connect scanner
You can connect a multiple kinetic energy printer or scanner by simply using a USB cable. If the multifunction printer uses an Ethernet or wireless network, make sure it is configured to use the same local network as the MAC. Next, choose Apple () > System Preferences ..., and then select Display > Print and Scan. Click the + (plus) icon under the Printers panel on the left and select the printer you want to add.
When you are connected to your scanner, run software updates to check for the latest Third-party printer/scanner software and updates.
Note: Avoid installing the software that came with your scanner because it may be obsolete. OS X and software updates contain the latest version of the scanner software. In the future, after some updates are published, you can get these updates through software updates.
