However, although there are many tablet products on the market, we have not found any hardware products pre-installed with meego tablet, therefore, the first step is to install the tablet image on a common tablet. However, the official installation method describes almost 0 methods for creating a USB flash drive. We can use an official image + unetbootin to create a USB flash drive. The details are as follows:

Next, we connect the tablet and the PC with the SDK to the same network. By entering the command ifconfig on the tablet terminal, We can query the current IP address and enter the address in the SDK simulator configuration, change the device name to remote device, root user name, password meego, and application.


However, whether manually installed or a mature meego tablet device can be purchased, the system prompts mad developer is not installed. You will not be able to deploy to this device when testing the connection.

First, let's compare the differences between the system in the hardware tablet and the system in the simulator. It is easy to find that the hardware tablet lacks mad developer, if you do not have this mad developer, you cannot directly perform a remote test using the PC-side SDK, so we need to install it. Baidu mostly uses Application Manager on N900 or dual systems by installing uboot. I believe most of my colleagues share the same idea with me after the failure of Baidu and Google, that is, to install the image for qemu to the tablet! This is an idea, but later I found a simpler method through Yahoo. on Intel's official website, I have a description of mad developer, it also mentions that there is no mad developer solution in meego tablet.
First, connect to the Internet and connect the USB keyboard to the tablet (the virtual keyboard is not supported in the terminal of the original system image). Enter Su to obtain the root permission. The password is meego, and then enter: zypper install mad-developer. After confirmation, the system automatically downloads and installs the software. After the installation is completed, the system returns to the application interface and finds the mad developer. Then, during the connection test, no error message is displayed, and the program runs normally ~

Conclusion:
1. when using the hardware platform for development, you must install mad developer. Otherwise, the development cannot be performed, and the configuration must be correct, including selecting remote device, entering the correct IP address, user name, and password, debugging and running can be performed normally only when the connection test is normal.
2. the image version we currently have is 1.1.99, and there are still many imperfections, such as many user experience details that need to be improved, and the system's hardware compatibility needs to be improved, for example, I cannot identify the bluetooth module here, and it needs to be optimized in terms of high running temperature.
3. It is best to use it with a USB keyboard. For example, if the virtual keyboard cannot be started on the terminal, a USB keyboard is needed.
