1. Select your source image
Create a Photoshop file that contains the pictures you want to process, put each picture in a separate layer, and in this case, we'll use two scanned images, combined with other principles, to synthesize an image of an industrial theme.

In the Photoshop Layer Style dialog box, the blending options are uniform, which makes it easier to query and apply the blending effect. The dialog box appears when you select a blending option from the Style Panel menu. The default blending options appear at the top of the list of styles, where you can make a new selection.

3. Create a hollowed out text effect
Use the Text tool to create a new text layer, with Heavy,sans serif font, so that the image displayed more. Double-click the layer, open the Style dialog box, select Shallow in the knockout drop-down menu, and then reduce the fill opacity to 40% in the advanced blending of the blending options. You can also use shadow and stroke effects.
The knockout option is to display the pixels of the other layer with the pixels of the current active layer, and a shallow knockout penetrates only one layer below, and the deep hollow is worn to the background layer. (if there is no background layer, then the deep knockout will create transparency), and as the opacity of the fill decreases, you can see more of the image below.

Blending mode lets you specify how Photoshop blends a layer of pixel color with the pixel color underneath it. To show the effect of the blending mode, we added some yellow stripes with feathering in the image, and then changed the stripe blending mode to color dodge to change the fill opacity to 75%.

5. Reduce color range by mixing color
With the blend color options in the Advanced Blending dialog box, you can control which pixels in the current active layer and which of the following visible layers appear in the final image. You can set a monochrome channel, or you can select a gray channel to work on all channels.
We select the building layer and set its blend color bands. First, select this layer in the Level Panel; then, the fill opacity in the Layer Style dialog box is 50%; Finally, select the red channel from the Blend range menu of the blend color band, and we want to exclude those dark red pixels from the image, so drag the black triangle to the right to soften the transition, You can hold down ALT, and then drag the triangle.

In the process of synthesizing this picture, a more conspicuous element (the red label on the machine) has been lost in the bottom image. We use a deep knockout to make it appear again in the composite diagram. First, we create a new layer at the top of the layers panel, and then we set up a constituency at the bottom where we want to be exposed, fill any color, in the case where the top layer is the active layer, the fill opacity in the Layer Style dialog box is set to 0%, and a deep knockout is selected in the advanced blending, at which point the Red label is displayed.
