What is port mapping?

Port mapping is also known as Port forwarding, and some are called NAT, virtual server. Why do you want to do port mapping?

There are 2 main types of network access:

In such cases, it is necessary to do port mapping on the router, forwarding the port to the corresponding server.

How to set up port mappings:

To do port mapping, you need to understand the number of ports the service program needs to map, and the following list the default service port numbers that some services need to map

The following are some of the main brands of the port map router:

1 ) Tp-link routers (in Tp-link R460 as an example)

Intranet ip:192.168.1.101 is a Web server, Tp-link series router default management address is http://192.168.0.1, account admin Password Admin login to the management interface of the router, click the router forwarding rules-Virtual server- Add new entry, 3:

The port mapping settings are as follows: The service port number is filled in 80, if filled with 80-82 represents the mapping 80, 81, 82 port, IP address fill in the intranet Web server IP address 192.168.1.101, the protocol is set to TCP, if the Port protocol type does not understand can be set to select all, On behalf of all (including TCP and UDP), the status must be set to take effect.

2 ) d -Link routers (in d -Link di624+a as an example)
Intranet 192.168.0.188 is an FTP server, the FTP service port default is 21, you need to map 21 ports on the router to the intranet server, set as follows: Login router, the default management IP address for the 192.168.0.1 Account admin password is empty.

3 ) Lei ke router (in nr205+ as an example)

Intranet 192.168.1.100 is the server of the housekeeper financial software, need to map port 80, 211, 14,333 ports. Login Router selection (the default admin address is admin for 192.168.0.1 account password), select the Virtual service settings in NAT settings. 4) Tengda Router:

Case 1: You need to map the TCP2006 port to 192.168.0.58, set the method as follows: Login Router Click on the virtual server, the first option is set to enable, the common port does not need to select, the common port is set to 2006,ip address set to 192.168.0.58, the protocol is selected as TCP, after the setting is complete Click the Add button on the back, 7:

Case 2: You need to map the TCP8837 port to 192.168.0.3, set the method as follows: Login Router Click on the virtual server, the first option is set to enable, the common port does not need to select, port fill 8837,ip address is set to 192.168.0.3, the protocol is selected as TCP, and after the setting is complete, click Add later button, 8:

5 ) Huawei MT800 : Login Router (the default management IP is 192.168.1.1 account password is admin), click the other settings in the left menu of the router, and then select the NAT setting option, 9:

6 ) LINKSYS wrt54g : Login to the management interface of the router, select the Applications&gaming option in the menu, select Port Range Forward from the drop-down menu on the left, and enter the port mapping Setup interface.
