Strategic objectives
The organization should not have the current business objectives, but also have long-term strategic objectives.
Strategic goal refers to what kind of organization to be at some time in the future, can use the slogan is the organization vision to qualitatively describe the organization's overall strategic objectives.
The purpose of the organization is to create, maintain and enhance its business value. Organizations need to achieve business value through projects and operations.
Doing projects is the only way to realize the leaping development of the organization.
Project Portfolio
Once the strategic objectives are identified, the organization will need to determine which projects, project sets, and other related work should be adopted to meet the strategic goals on schedule, projects, projects, and other related tasks that are project portfolios.
Projects or sets of items in a portfolio are not necessarily interdependent or directly related, and putting them together may only be because they are competing to use the limited resources of the Organization.
Project set
Some of the projects in the portfolio may have close internal links, and these interrelated projects are grouped together, which is the project set.
1. The project set may include relevant work outside the scope of the project.
For example, the new car development project set, each component development is the project, each non-reduced assembly is the work outside each project.
2. The project has a definite end time, but the end time of the project set is not necessarily clear.
This is a project that should be composed of projects that are not necessarily static, but can be eliminated as needed to add new items to the project.
3. Many ongoing daily operations can be considered as project collections and then broken down into many projects for the purpose of project-based management. Any one
Ongoing work, if needed, can be broken down into a series of projects.
A project can belong to a project set or not to a project set, but must belong to a portfolio. Projects that are not affiliated with any project portfolio are not allowed to exist for the development of the Organization,
Otherwise, it is a waste of the organization's resources.
