In this tutorial, I'll explain how to make a poster that looks a little dirty. We'll learn how to use certain elements to make the poster look a bit dirty and textured, and then use shading and blending modes to add depth to these elements.
Introduction: In this tutorial, I'll explain how to make a poster that looks a little dirty. We'll learn how to use certain elements to make the poster look a bit dirty and textured, and then use shading and blending modes to add depth to these elements.
Step 1
Generate a new document that fills the background layer with dark brown.
Step 2
Sets the background color to white with a black foreground color, selects the background layer and performs the filter/texture/texturing commands. (Filter>texture>texturizer)
Step 3
Select the Horizontal Type tool (the shortcut key is T) and enter the letter psd. Select the Rectangle tool (the shortcut key is U) to draw a few rectangular shapes as shown in the following illustration, and then group the layer of text and all the rectangles, and rename the groups to white Lines.
Step 4
Rotate the group to a suitable angle, as shown in the following figure.
Step 5
Use the Pen tool (the shortcut key is P) to draw some shapes on the letters p, S, D, and place these shapes underneath the white lines group. For these Tim, the first shape is filled with yellow, the second shape is red, and the third shape is filled with blue. These layers are then grouped, named colors.
Step 6
If the Photoshop you are using is a CS3 version, turn these yellow, red, and blue shapes into smart filters (smart Filters), and then perform the filter/texture/texture commands (Filter>texture>texturizer) To these three shape layers. If you're using a CS3 version, you don't have to convert to a smart filter to apply a filter effect directly.
Step 7
Now select the layer in the white Lines group and apply the layer style to it. When you bring up the Layer style panel, select the Projection option (drop Shadow). After that, place the PSD text layer above the other layers in the group.
