Get ready:
Make sure you are a farm administrator with access to the central administration.
Begin:
1. Open Management Center-upgrades and migrations.
2. Click "View product and patch installation status".
3. There is a drop-down list at the top that allows you to choose whether to view the entire farm or only the parts on a particular server.
4. Back to upgrade and migration--view database status. All databases and states of the field are displayed.
5. Navigate to Application Management--database--to manage content databases.
6. Click on a content database, the second part is the database version and upgrade. It describes the database schema version.
Principle:
Patching status-Displays the patch level of the server. If there are missing or required parts, it will display the required patch hyperlink.
Database status-All databases that contain SQL instances in the column appearances. In SharePoint 2010, there are many databases that can be run in a compatible range. This lets the administrator know what is required or what is happening.
Database schema version-Displays the current schema version and the highest schema version that the database can update.
