Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 has provided many capabilities to support business intelligence. The main components include Excel Services, Reporting services and Dashboards. SharePoint 2010 Adds a lot of new features to business intelligence. Let's start with a brief introduction to the components of the relevant business intelligence.
1. Secure Storage Service
Secure storage Services (Secure Store service, abbreviated SSS) is a claims-based authentication (claims-basedauthentication) service, which is part of the SharePoint Foundation services. SSS provides a user credential information that is stored per application ID, and when an application accesses an external data source, SSS will see whether the relevant user credentials should be stored based on the application ID, and if not, access to the external data source will fail, as well, if the stored user credentials have insufficient permissions, There is also a problem accessing the data source. Therefore, SSS plays an important role in the business intelligence Component Services of SharePoint Server 2010. These services include: Visio services, PerformancePoint Services, and Excel services. We'll show you how to add Secure Store service user credentials for these services later in the example.
2. Visio Services
we know that Microsoft Visio can easily and quickly build many graphics solutions. We can imagine that if the graphics that Visio builds can be combined with specific data in a database, the color of a graphic can reflect the workings of a device represented by the graph, and better yet, these states can be updated in real time. Then the graphical solution built by Visio can be said to have "life". It is no longer a static data, can be dynamically real-time reaction graph behind the associated information. An exciting service, the Visio service, is available in SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition. Visio services allow you to connect real-time data in your database to Visio graphics, and you can dynamically update Visio graphics information in real time. When you publish Visio graphics to SharePoint, you can share and view graphics with other employees, and you can open Visio graphics in a browser, drag and drop graphics, zoom, and view the details of a graphics show. You can also set the time interval for automatic refresh of Visio graphics so that Visio graphics can automatically refresh and display information about its associated data dynamically in real time.

3. PerformancePoint Service
PerformancePoint Services is part of the SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition. You can now easily and quickly build powerful panels (Dashboards) with the built-in panel Designer for SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition (Dashboard Designer). On the panel you can join KPIs and scorecards (scorecards) so that you can view important business intelligence information through PerformancePoint Services to support your business decisions. The data involved in PerformancePoint services can be obtained from different data sources, then through SSIS consolidation, loading Data with SSAS, and finally publishing the built-in KPIs and scorecards to SharePoint. This makes it easy for other people to view the relevant information through a browser. PerformancePoint Services supports data sources that include a variety of mainstream relational databases, Access databases, Excel workbooks, Excel Services, and SharePoint list data. It is worth mentioning that the Decomposition Tree, which supports RIA features, is a powerful new type of data visualization report that allows users to drill through the cube as they want.

4. Excel Services and PowerPivot
The Excel service is also part of the SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise Edition. Now you can consolidate data from different data sources into a single Excel workbook. The Excel service allows these Excel workbooks to be accessed through the browser, but only the read-only parameters in the workbook can be accessed and other users cannot manipulate them. The user can provide values to the parameters in the workbook through a browser, and the Excel service will return the relevant values based on the calculation rules that were designed at the beginning. You can publish an entire workbook or a subset of workbooks to SharePoint, such as a specific graphic or a specific pivot table.
in the Excel 2010 release, Microsoft offers a powerful plug-in, PowerPivot for Excel 2010, free of charge. In addition, PowerPivot also has a component that is PowerPivot for SharePoint. When you download PowerPivot from the Web site, note that it has 32-bit and 64-bit points, depending on whether your Excel is 32-bit or 64-bit downloads the appropriate version. With PowerPivot for Excel 2010, we can seamlessly integrate with OLAP cubes and then perform various analyses of multidimensional data using Excel's easy-to-use features.
