I. Make preparations

In the LAN, install the Windows 2000 Server operating system on a computer to set up a soft route later, and install two NICs to connect different network segments, set the IP addresses of the two NICs to different CIDR blocks, for example, 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0 and 192.168.2.1/255.255.255.0 ).

2. Install the "vro"

Because we want to use Windows 2000 Server as a router, We must install the "route and remote access" component.

Log on to Windows 2000 Server as a domain user administrator, go to the control panel, and open the "Administrative Tools" folder, double-click "route and remote access" to open the "route and remote access" window.
