A simulated AP is also called a SoftAP. After the analog AP function of the wireless network card is enabled on a computer that can access the Internet, the wireless network card can convert the network of the computer into a Wi-Fi wireless signal, connect your mobile phone, tablet, and other terminals to the Internet.
This article describes how to set up the analog AP of TL-WN823N and the solutions to common problems.
You can also refer to the simulated AP settings video tutorial:
Tip:Before setting, you must know which method the computer with the network card is used to access the Internet, such as broadband dialing, wireless Internet access, or local connection (automatically obtaining IP addresses (
Confirmation method).
The following describes the detailed settings:
1
Insert the NIC into the computer
Insert the wireless network card into the USB interface of the computer, and ensure that the wireless network card can be used properly (such as the connection signal ).
2
Install the wireless Nic client program
The analog AP needs to enable the settings through the client software dedicated to the TP-LINK wireless network card, many users have installed the client when installing the network card, directly open it. If you have not installed the software, place the optical disc carried by the NIC in the optical drive of your computer to install the client program, or go to our official website
Service Support CenterDownload the corresponding driver. The compressed package contains the relevant client software.
After the installation is complete, open the TP-LINK wireless Nic client program:

After the client program is opened, enable the simulated AP as shown in the following figure:
Note:For some client programs of earlier versions

Wait a moment and the system prompts that the simulated AP is successfully configured.
If an ICS or other error occurs at this time, please refer to the prompt

Internet
Connection SharingSelect the corresponding network connection and set the Wireless name and password. Here, the signal sent by the simulated AP is set, and the mobile phone and Pad are connected to the Internet:
Note:The local connection is used as an example. In actual use, if a computer uses a broadband dial-up, the broadband connection is selected.

Now, the simulated AP is successfully set, and the wireless signal of the simulated AP can be connected to the Internet through the mobile phone, Pad, and other terminals. After the computer restarts, the network card automatically sends out the set analog AP signal, and does not need to be configured again.

Configuration failed. What should I do?
ICS is a computer-shared service. During the simulation of AP configuration, it is easy to see an error message indicating that the ICS configuration fails. For detailed solutions to this problem, click to refer:

Which connection does a computer need to share over broadband dial-up access?
There are multiple network connections in the Internet Connection Sharing drop-down box, as shown in the following figure:
If your computer is connected to the Internet through a broadband connection, Select
Broadband connection. Similarly, you can select
Unicom(Unicom is a 3G connection in this example ).
Can a wireless network card share wireless signals connected to it?
It can be implemented on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 computers.
Method:After the signal is connected to the wireless network adapter, enable the analog AP. In Internet Connection Sharing, select the wireless network connection. After saving the information, the B signal of the simulated AP can be sent for other terminals to access the Internet.
The message "check and disconnect the point-to-point network, or restart the NIC" appears. What should I do?
When this error is prompted, try to delete the ad-hoc configuration file in the configuration file. After the deletion is complete, disable and enable the wireless network card and set up the simulated AP again. As follows:

If the setting is successful, the connection signal cannot be connected to the network?
First, make sure that the computer where the wireless network card is installed can access the internet normally. Check that the wireless terminal automatically obtains the IP address. You can try to delete the wireless configuration file and reconnect to the signal. For detailed solutions, please
